Laminate flooring is a multi-layer, high-performance engineered floor covering made from a tough wear-resistant overlay, a high-resolution decorative paper layer replicating realistic wood, stone, or tile designs, a strong high-density fiberboard (HDF/MDF) core for stability and strength, and a balancing backing layer—all fused under high heat and pressure—delivering exceptional durability, scratch and stain resistance, easy click-lock installation, low maintenance (simple sweeping or damp mopping), affordability compared to hardwood or tile, versatile styles with modern embossed/EIR textures, and suitability for high-traffic residential and commercial spaces in 7–12 mm thicknesses.
